Honesty, Integrity, Ambition, and Patriotism

James Conine won the National Abraham Lincoln Speaking and Look-a-Like Competition in 1996, 2000 and again in 2003. This contest is held in conjunction with Abraham Lincoln Days in Hodgenville, Kentucky  –  Lincoln’s birthplace.

Conine, a lifelong resident of Georgia, first portrayed Abraham Lincoln for his children’s scouting and school functions. An avid historian, Conine delved into the life of President Lincoln.

Holding an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence, Conine managed a successful 30 year career as a land surveyor on the Georgia Coast. In the mid 1990s, he gradually phased out his surveying practice to devote himself fulltime to his Abraham Lincoln Presentations.

James Conine travels throughout the United States and Europe delivering his first person portrayal of President Lincoln. Conine entertains, educates, and motivates by using Lincoln ’s personal life experiences to emphasize Honesty, Integrity, Ambition, and Patriotism.
